A handicap is very simple to establish through your local country club course or community golf course.  In order to get started, you must discuss each course's process with the head pro or course supervisor.

The normal procedure is simply entering your name as a participant and begin turning in completed scoring rounds (18 Holes) and each score card into the course pro shop.  It normally takes more than 4 scores and approximately 1-2 months for your name and handicap to cycle into the state association's system.  Once in the system, a player continues to turn in completed score cards as he or she plays.  Cards can also be turned in from other courses as well. The annual fee through the MCC for a member's handicap is only $28.00.

For those players who already have an establish GSGA handicap, you can check the status of your handicap 24/7 by 'Clicking Here'.

*Note - You must have your GSGA ID number which is available on your last card or through your local course.
